Clemenceau Bridge
Completed in 1920, Clemenceau Bridge was named after French Prime Minister Mousier Georges Clemenceau who visited Singapore that same year. In design, it is one of the simplest and an extension of Clemneceau Road across the Singapore River.

Coleman Bridge
First built in 1840 as a brick bridge, Coleman Bridge was named after its architect, George Drumgold Coleman, an Irishman who came to Singapore in 1826. Coleman was subsequently appointed as the first Superintendent of Public Works in Singapore. He brought with him an architectural style known as Palladian, an adaptation from Greek and Roman styles to the tropical climate
